1879 Stella bullion silver sells for record $130000

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AFP) – A U.S. four-dollar bullion silver dating behind to 1879 went underneath a produce during an auction in a Netherlands on Fridayfor a record cost of 95,000 euros, auctioneers Schulman announced.

“The top ever cost for a sale during auction of a bullion silver was fetched during a Schulman auction,” a auction residence pronounced in a statement.

“The 1879 four-dollar Stella from a United States was sole for 95,000 euros,” or $130,000, Schulman said.

Only 425 four-dollar coins, also famous as Stellas since of a five-pointed star that is a categorical pattern on a reverse, were made.

Both a seller and a customer of a singular silver wanted to sojourn anonymous.
